UK Status Resident. Locally common in mainland Britain as far north as Durham. Montgomeryshire Status First recorded from Commins Coch in the west of the county, since then there have been a further few widely scattered records. Wingspan : M & F, 12-15mm. Confusion species None. |

(Univoltine)  Habitat Wherever the foodplant is found. Foodplant Various fungi and rotten wood. Lifestage data Eggs are laid on larval food. Larva feeds on fungal growths found under the bark of dead twigs and stems. |
